Inverter safety - why you should pay attention to quality!

As you connect and operate a wide variety of electrical and electronic devices to your battery or vehicle, when buying a voltage converter, make sure that the inverter meets important safety standards and cannot cause any damage. Saving money should not be an argument here. The required battery capacity depends on the performance of the voltage converter, the battery characteristics and the desired operating time. As a rough guide, the minimum battery capacity in Ah (ampere hours) should be approx. 10% of the continuous output of the voltage converter at 12V (e.g.: voltage converter with 1000W = 100Ah) or approx. 5% at 24V.

Modern electronic consumers are becoming increasingly complex and can no longer be operated with "modified sine wave current" from inferior modified inverters. The VOLTIMA VSC202 voltage converter has a very robust design, but thanks to its active fan cooling it is also extremely efficient and whisper-quiet, making it suitable for continuous operation in motorhomes.

Thanks to high-quality electronic components and the latest high-frequency technology, the inverter is able to achieve efficiencies of over 90% with minimal power consumption.

In addition to active fan cooling, the stable, ribbed and lightweight inverter aluminum housing ensures maximum passive cooling and therefore quiet continuous operation.

Maximum power reserves

Thanks to the many integrated protective circuits, durable electronics and intelligent microprocessor control, the VOLTIMA VSC202 guarantees high overload capacity (for high starting currents of inductive loads).

With a continuous power of 2000W, this corresponds to 3000W for 5 seconds and 4000W for 2 seconds.

Consumers with high starting currents or with short-term high peak consumption can therefore be used without restrictions.

Integrated multi-stage battery charger

INTEGRATED IUOU CHARGER WITH TRICKLE CHARGING

With its maximum charging voltage of 14.4V, the integrated and intelligent charger is suitable for AGM, gel and LiFePo4 (with BMS) batteries as well as standard wet batteries.

How it works:

Charging takes place in two automatic stages, which ensure a gentle charge of the feeding batteries. At the end of the main charging phase, the integrated charger automatically switches to trickle charging. The trickle charge keeps the battery constantly at a level that is gentle on you and thus actively counteracts the natural self-discharge of the battery and premature ageing due to so-called "sulphation". This means that batteries can also be used permanently with the integrated charger of the VSC series.

Mains priority circuit with integrated UPS (UPS mode)

Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)

The built-in mains priority circuit of the VSC voltage converter gives you the option of switching on an external 230V power source when the batteries are empty or simply when required, without disrupting the ongoing operation of consumers.

This is how it works:

As soon as a mains voltage is registered at the AC input of the device (e.g. switching on from the household current or generator), it automatically switches to mains operation + charging within a lightning-fast 100 ms. The inverter feeds the mains current through and switches the inverter function to "standby". This means that all consumers can continue to be used without further intervention and without draining the battery. When the external 230V voltage is removed, the inverter automatically switches back to battery supply within 100 ms.
