NOQON charging boosters: NB & NBS series They give freedom and save time: the NOQON charging boosters in the NB and NBS series. The letters NB in the series designations stand for "Battery Booster", the special devices for battery charging. This is where the NOQON charging boosters differ from conventional chargers: They allow a 12-volt battery to be charged by another 12-volt battery (battery-to-battery method, B2B for short). The charging process is controlled: the charging booster continuously checks the battery via the measuring lines to ensure that neither the supply battery is overcharged nor the starter battery discharged while driving. NOQON NBS models - charge boosters with integrated solar charge controller The S in the one NB series stands for the integrated solar charge controller, which, as an MPPT version, exceeds the efficiency of a conventional PWM charge controller. When the journey is interrupted or the vehicle arrives at its destination, solar charging starts automatically via the solar modules on the vehicle roof. The NOQON NBS 30 achieves a solar charging output of up to 250 W/20 A, the NOQON NBS 60 even up to 430 W/30 A. Charging process in three steps: Step 1: Maximum current up to the target value for constant voltage charging Step 2: Current decreases, constant voltage charging mode starts, charging time around 2 hours Step 3: Stop constant voltage charging at 12.6 volts battery voltage and start trickle charging Installing the NOQON charge booster The battery technology is selected via a DIP switch: Lithium or lead-acid/AGM/gel. The connection for the NOQON Charge Monitor CM 1 and the external NOQON Bluetooth dongle BTD1 is located on the battery booster. A monitor or smartphone informs the user about the current battery charge status, among other things. Further connections, for example for a voltage measurement cable, temperature sensor or additional supply batteries, are also available. Alternator as generator The vehicle alternator works like an electric generator, which is driven by the combustion engine to charge the starter battery and consumer devices. When the starter battery is finally charged depends on its initial state of charge and the duration of the journey. If the battery is full, it can no longer hold any reserves. This is where the NOQON charge booster comes in handy. It takes over the energy that is energy and stores it in an additional battery. Loss-free charging For optimum battery charging, the NOQON charge booster automatically adjusts the voltage measurement cables to the required values using an exact charging characteristic. In doing so, it compensates for line losses and voltage fluctuations from the generator that occur while driving - both for the battery and for the 12-volt consumer devices. NOQON charge booster - safety functions at a glance: Overvoltage and undervoltage protection of the main battery Undervoltage protection of the starter battery Overload protection for B2B charging Overheating protection Reverse protection NOQON NBS models only: PV overload protection NOQON NBS models only: PV overvoltage protection

If no charging source is available (power failure, engine stop, night), the batteries are not discharged. Parallel and buffer operation: The battery continues to be charged or is kept fully charged if there is simultaneous consumption. The charger automatically calculates and monitors the adjustment of the charging times. Monitoring-free charging: Multiple protection against overload, overheating, overvoltage, short circuit, malfunction and battery back-discharge through electronic cut-off up to complete disconnection of charger and battery. Power supply function: Enables consumers to be supplied without a battery (e.g. when changing the battery). Built-in on-board mains filter: Problem-free parallel operation with other charging sources (wind, motor and fuel generators) on one battery. Charging cable compensation: Voltage losses on the charging cables are automatically compensated for. Connection for battery temperature sensor (included): For lead batteries (acid, gel, AGM), the charging voltage is automatically adjusted to the battery temperature, results in a better full charge of the weaker battery in cold weather, unnecessary battery gassing is avoided in summer temperatures. LiFePO4 batteries: Battery protection at high and especially at low temperatures < 0°C. Highly recommended if the battery temperature can fall below 0°C during operation. Automatic lead battery regeneration twice a week during downtimes to prevent harmful acid stratification. Charging aid for deeply discharged lead batteries: Gentle pre-charging of the (lead-acid, -gel, -AGM) battery up to 8 V, then powerful support for the battery if consumers are still switched on. Plug-in connection for optional LCD Charge Control S Technical features Automatic battery regeneration Remote control/display connection Power limit function - mains/charging power reduction Temperature compensation Voltage sensor (for very long charging cables) Mains adapter function (battery replacement) Adjustable battery capacity (size) Silent run function (night setback) Temperature sensor included Charging programs "GEL": Charging program for gel batteries Adapted to sealed, gas-tight gel/dryfit batteries with fixed electrolyte, which generally require a higher charging voltage level and longer U1 holding times in order to achieve short charging times with particularly high capacity storage and to avoid long-term battery "starvation". "AGM": Charging program for AGM/fleece batteries Intended for charging sealed, gas-tight AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries in lead-fleece technology, which require a particularly high U1 level with coordinated holding times for full charging and then a moderate U2 level for charge retention (plate and round cell technology). Charging program "DIN 0510" for lead-acid/wet batteries General DIN characteristic for charging and charge retention of open and closed lead-acid batteries with removable cell plugs and the possibility of acid level control and correction (maintenance). Can also be used for closed batteries, as it is low-maintenance, maintenance-free, low antimony, silver-alloyed, calcium etc. with low or very low water consumption. With a high U1 level, offers short charging times, a high charging factor and high acid mixing, even in stationary use (acid stratification) for "wet" traction, lighting, solar, heavy duty and standard batteries. "UNIVERSAL": Charging program for lead-acid/wet/AGM batteries Universal program for charging and maintaining the charge of acid batteries in vehicles (mixed mobile/stationary). With a medium U1 level, it still offers short charging times, a good charging factor and good acid mixing for open and closed, low-maintenance, maintenance-free standard, traction, lighting, solar and heavy-duty batteries, as well as AGM batteries with a normal U1 level. "LiFePO4": Charging program for lithium batteries Charging program tailored to lithium LiFePO4 batteries with their own BMS and prescribed or built-in protective circuitry. When the vehicle is switched off (seasonal operation), a special rest maintenance function automatically keeps the LiFePO4 battery at a charge level of 50-80%, which is beneficial for its service life, and also buffers 12V consumers and the vehicle starter battery. In addition, a regular auto wake-up function activates battery cell balancing. The Battery Charger VBCS Triple is a completely new device combination consisting of a Pb mains charger, VCC charging converter and MPP solar regulator, which ensures the energy supply in the motorhome. The batteries are always charged automatically, whether on the road or on the pitch. In particular, the generously dimensioned charging power of the integrated charging converter with 30A ensures that the on-board battery is charged with full charging current even on short journeys and is fully charged at the destination. Pb mains charger with 20A Mains operation, standby operation at the external socket from the mains: The full charging power in the universal range of 110V AC - 230V AC without switching is available worldwide even with large deviations in the mains supply (undervoltage/overvoltage, sine wave, frequency). Powerful charging of the on-board battery and supply of 12V consumers from the mains. Auxiliary charging branch 12V/ 4-5A to support and maintain the charge of the vehicle (lead) starter battery during long downtimes. Thanks to the long-term charging characteristics, the device can be permanently connected to the mains (use, winter break) VCC charging converter with 30A Charging converter, "B2B" operation, mobile operation from alternator and starter battery (battery to battery): The powerful charging converter (booster) enables the on-board battery to be fully charged while driving. It increases/reduces the voltage to the required level in order to charge the on-board battery precisely with the optimum charging characteristic. It fully compensates for line losses and significant voltage fluctuations in the alternator, such as those that constantly occur in Euro 6 vehicles. The 12V consumers supplied with power are protected against overvoltage and voltage fluctuations. MPP solar controller for max. 250Wp Solar operation, "MPP" (Maximum Power Point): With MPP technology, the controller constantly and automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules several times per second. The additional charging current gain of 10% - 30% ensures shorter charging times and the best possible power utilization of the solar system. Secondary charging branch for support charging and charge retention of the vehicle starter battery during long downtimes. Switching output "AES", causes automatic switching of refrigerators with "AES" (Automatic Energy Selector, Electrolux / Dometic) from gas to 12V operation when there is a permanent surplus of solar power. Pulser operation, training for the on-board battery during charging breaks when no charging source is available: Battery training protects the unused (lead) battery from rapid ageing and failure due to sulphation during wintering, seasonal operation or longer downtimes. Properties The charging voltage is free of peaks and regulated in such a way that the batteries cannot be overcharged. Fully automatic continuous operation: The charger can be permanently connected to the batteries and keeps them fully charged. Scope of delivery: 1x Votronic VBCS 30/20/250 Triple-CI Battery Charger 3242 1x temperature sensor

The VAC Triple 60-15/30 Battery Charger from Votronic (MPN 0666) consists of a 45A VAC mains charger and a 60A VCC charging converter including battery trainer. Compared to the VBCS Triple, an intelligent charging current distributor has been integrated instead of the integrated MPP solar charge controller, which splits the charging current of the mains charger and supplies the starter battery with a charging current of 15 A. Solid power supply for starter and supply batteries In this way, higher loads on the starter battery (entertainment, blue light, siren, etc.) can be buffered and the vehicle's ability to start can be permanently guaranteed. If the high charging current on the starter battery is no longer required, the charging current distributor also makes it available to the on-board battery.
