The patented SpiralCell® technology, a special feature of OPTIMA® batteries, makes it possible to reliably start heavy diesel engines even after long periods of standstill and in cold weather. Their low self-discharge makes OPTIMA® batteries ideal for seasonal applications.
OPTIMA® batteries also offer unsurpassed vibration resistance compared to conventional lead-acid batteries: their resistance is up to 15 times higher. This proves advantageous for machines that are used in a stony, uneven environment and are exposed to strong vibrations. The firmly compressed cells in the battery enable a leak-proof design and prevent the loss of active material even in the event of strong vibrations. The loss of active material would reduce the capacity and starting power of a battery. However, OPTIMA® batteries are able to withstand rough terrain and demanding requirements without interrupting performance, increasing productivity and efficiency.
