This motorhome solar set without battery - SMALL, is the perfect small solar set for a self-sufficient power supply in your motorhome, caravan or camper. Installation takes less than two hours - experienced hands are much quicker. A complete installation diagram is included and enables even complete beginners to master the installation quickly and successfully. The expected daily output (April to October) is 700 Wh/day on average (max. 1200 Wh on sunny days in Switzerland). The system is ideally suited for charging 12V LiFePO4, AGM, GEL or lead-acid batteries.

The components of the set:

VOLTIMA SCD25 MPPT solar charge controller Dual 12V 350Wp 50V 25A


With MPPT technology, the controller automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules several times per second. It then transforms the excess voltage of the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery (realized by high-frequency switching controller technology with high efficiency). This additional charging current ensures shorter charging times and the best possible power utilization of the solar system. A Bluetooth dongle for monitoring the charging data via smartphone app or a permanently installable monitor can be purchased separately if required.

Genio modules are particularly suitable for installation on the roofs of motorhomes or camper vans. The angle of incidence of the sun is often lateral in the camper and so the light from the roof can be ideally reflected onto the lower side of the panel. In this way, a good deal of extra power can be extracted from a small space.
Alternatively, you can also
mount a normal module such as the GSM180-36 or simply attach a flex panel such as the GSM180F-36 with mounting tape

VOLTIMA 5-piece short complete mounting set for solar installation (white)


Spoiler profiles are the first choice, especially for caravans and motorhomes, when it comes to clean and long-term mounting of solar modules. We use an extra solid mounting system that can simply be glued on. The module can be unscrewed from the spoiler at any time if you need to access the area under the solar module. If you mount the modules in the direction of travel, wind noise is no longer an issue (this also applies to alcove vehicles). The complete mounting set also includes a cable feed-through. When fitted correctly, they are absolutely leak-proof and extremely durable.

Correctly executed bonding is superior to any screw connection when used in motorhomes or boats. On painted metal roofs or GRP surfaces, a strength of over 4 N/mm2 can be achieved, which would be a value calculated on the adhesive surface that could never be achieved with a screw connection in the thin aluminum or GRP carrier layer - and completely without holes in the roof. This adhesive set enables even a layman to create an absolutely firm connection between spoilers and the respective substrate.

If you connect the system to a battery with round poles, you will also need pole clamps ( not included in the set)

Before ordering:


Climb onto the roof of your camper / caravan / motorhome and measure exactly whether you have enough space on the roof. Remember that you need space for the solar panel AND the spoilers. Also take into account any objects that may already be on the roof (skylights, fans, antennas, satellite dish, etc.).
Also plan exactly where your cable feed-through is to be placed, where your charge controller is to be installed in the vehicle and where the supply battery will be and how long the extension cable from the solar cells to the charge controller or from the charge controller to the supply battery must be. If the 5 meters of solar cable and 1 meter of charge controller cable provided in the set are not long enough, you will have to adjust the set manually.
