Victron Energy GX Tank 140
Victron Energy GX Tank 140
Tank gauge programmable
The GX Tank 140 records measured values from up to four tank level sensors. It is an accessory for our range of GX system monitoring products, of which Cerbo GX is the most commonly used model.
The tank levels can be read out both locally in the system, see screenshot, and remotely via our VRM portal.
The GX Tank 140 is compatible with both current transmitters (4 to 20 mA) and voltage transmitters (0 to 10 V). The GX device is connected via USB, which also supplies the GX Tank with power. No additional power cables are required.
The wiring of the tank transmitter is kept as simple as possible: Two of the four inputs provide a 24 V power supply for the transmitter. The other two channels require an external power supply, for which a mains connection with fused outputs is provided.
The upper and lower limit values are configurable to allow the use of transmitters that only supply part of the scale, e.g. 0 to 5 V.
In order to obtain a stable measured value, the measured values are attenuated by averaging. The damping can be configured between 1 and 60 seconds.
Defective sensors and wiring problems are detected. An alarm is triggered if the values are outside the permissible range.
In maritime applications, the GX device can transmit these tank levels to other displays, such as an MFD, via the NMEA 2000 network.
