The BP-SERIES battery charger is an intelligent battery charger specially designed for charging all types of lead-acid batteries, i.e. wet, gel and AGM batteries. The DIP switch can be used to select the perfect charging characteristic for each type of battery.



Thanks to the high-frequency technology used, the charger is compact and can also be installed or stored in small compartments or cabinets. The charger is insulated against direct and alternating current and is equipped with overvoltage protection, an automatic multi-stage charging function and many other safety functions that reduce the risk of electric shock and fire.

The BP battery charger offers an unbeatable number of additional functions and protective devices in this price segment. These include, among others

Automatic multi-stage charging curve

The BP series battery charger has an automatic charging function with up to six stages and delivers nominal current for around 75% of the charging time. This function guarantees complete, fast and safe charging of your battery.

Integrated timer

When the charge drops to a certain nominal value or the charging time preset on the timer has expired, the BP series battery charger switches from absorption charging to trickle charging.

Recovery charge

The BP series battery charger is designed for a permanent connection to the battery. To prevent possible sulphation during long-term trickle charging, the charger automatically switches to recovery charging mode after 14 days.

Simultaneous charging of several batteries

The BP series battery charger is equipped with several DC connections (the 12A model with two, the 20A, 25A and 40A models with three connections) so that several batteries can be charged simultaneously.



The total current (12 A, 20 A, 25 A or 40 A) depends on the model type. If several batteries are connected to the charger, the total current is divided between the individual batteries according to the degree of discharge.

Insulated outputs

The outputs are electrically isolated from each other. This prevents current flows between the connections and a return current from the battery to the battery charger.

Particularly low-noise design

The charger is particularly low-noise. If the charging current falls below a certain value, the charger's fan is switched off. If the temperature inside the device rises again, the fan is automatically switched on again.

Simultaneous operation as charger and mains adapter

The intelligent BP series battery charger can be used simultaneously as a DC mains adapter and battery charger. The device software is programmed to prevent overcharging of the battery even under such circumstances.

Protective coating of the circuit boards

To protect against moisture and corrosion, the circuit boards installed in the BP series battery charger have a protective coating.

Use as a power supply unit

The BP series battery charger can also be used as a power supply unit by setting the DIP switch accordingly. In this case, however, a constant voltage is supplied. In this mode, the device is not suitable for charging rechargeable batteries. The battery type and battery temperature are ignored in this mode. The temperature sensor does not initiate voltage equalization in this mode, but the overtemperature protection continues to function. In this mode, the charger can deliver net DC voltages of 13.5 V (12 V models) or 27 V (24 V models).

Integrated protective functions

The BP series battery charger has the following protective functions:
1) Shutdown in the event of a short circuit at the output;
2) Electronic protection against incorrect polarity;
3) Shutdown if the battery voltage is too high;
4) Power reduction if the charger temperature is too high, maintaining the temperature at a balanced level;
5) Shutdown if the battery temperature is too high, automatic restart after sufficient cooling down

Automatic temperature compensation



The standard equipment of the BP series battery charger also includes a battery temperature sensor.


If this sensor is connected to the battery, the charger can automatically regulate the charging current to the connected battery more precisely using appropriate temperature compensation.

Operation at high ambient temperatures

The BP series battery charger is designed for full-load operation at temperatures of up to 40 °C
