Need to charge an empty battery?

Whether car, motorcycle, light truck, quad, snowmobile or boat, all vehicles with up to approx. 250Ah starter batteries can be perfectly charged thanks to the fully automatic and microprocessor-controlled DC8 charger from SHIDO.
It doesn't matter whether you have a standard lead-acid battery, a closed GEL or AGM battery (with or without start/stop) or even a state-of-the-art lithium battery, this charger combines all charger variants in ONE!

The charger itself

Thanks to its minimal size, the SHIDO DC 8.0 charger can be stowed away almost anywhere, and can also be conveniently packed under the seat, in a rucksack or in the trunk when traveling. It is supplied with accessory cables with crocodile clips as well as ring terminals for permanent vehicle connection.

Intelligent microprocessor electronics in the DC8

The device protects itself against overloading through its electronics. In this case, the device switches itself off automatically. The charging process itself is carried out in several power stages for greater precision and safety, also to preserve battery life.

Safety

Reverse polarity protection*, a thermal fuse and electronic protection against sparking make handling easy AND safe. (*polarity reversal protection is not available in SUPPLY mode)

Charging information

The device has a digital display which provides the user with all the necessary information before and during the charging process.

Other special features

The SHIDO DC8 charger is provided with mounting holes so that it can also be firmly attached to the wall in the workshop, it also has a workshop hook so that it can be easily hung up, and it is also splash-proof.

Enhancements compared to the smaller DC models

The SHIDO DC8 has an additional charging program especially for AGM batteries, the digital display shows the charging status in real time and the device can be switched between the charging modes and RECON (lead recovery mode) and SUPPLY (mains supply during a battery change). The charging power can also be variably selected for small or larger batteries between max. 2A and 8A.
