Fully automatic 7-stage charger with processor-controlled IUoU characteristic curve for 12V batteries

With the microprocessor-controlled Paco MBC charger, charging takes place automatically and protects the battery from harmful overcharging, so the charger can also be used as a trickle charger. The 7-stage charging process is a very comprehensive and accurate charging method that significantly extends battery life and improves battery performance data. The charger is suitable for most lead-acid battery types including calcium, gel and AGM batteries. In addition, the charger has a "reconditioning function", which makes so-called deeply discharged batteries fit for everyday use again by eliminating acid stratification and sulphation.

The 7 stages at a glance:

1. DESULPHATION (desulphation): Gently increasing and decreasing voltages and currents at the beginning of the charging process eliminate battery sulphation caused by short-distance driving and frequently discharged batteries.
2. SOFTSTART (soft start): Regulated gently increasing voltages ensure a gentle transition and start to the main charge and prevent damage to the lead grids.
3. BULK (main charge): The battery is charged at a steady current and carefully increasing voltage up to a predefined maximum voltage value until 80% of the total charge has been reached.
4. ABSORPTION (residual charge): The battery is fully charged to 100% of the total charge by maintaining a constant voltage and gradually decreasing currents. The gradually decreasing current ensures that the terminal voltage does not become too high during full charging.
5. BATTERY TEST: The battery is tested for self-discharge for 90 seconds. If the absorption phase has not been able to fully charge the battery and the voltage drop is therefore too high, which is the case with old batteries or batteries with strong acid stratification, for example, the system automatically switches to reconditioning mode
6. RECONDITION (reconditioning): This mode starts with very low currents but high voltages of up to 16V, which remedies the acid stratification in deeply discharged batteries. This mode is limited to a maximum of 4 hours and improves the service life and performance of the battery.
7. FLOAT/MAINTENANCE (charge retention/maintenance charge): The battery is evenly maintained at 13.8V "float" voltage without overcharging the battery or harming you. This means that the charger can also remain connected all year round (e.g. for seasonal vehicles/oldtimers) The voltage in this mode is permanently monitored. As soon as the voltage of the battery falls to a predefined level, the battery is recharged to 100% by a pulse charge and thus constantly kept between 95% and 100% state of charge. This cycle is repeated automatically and thus has a positive effect on the battery's service life.

High-quality and durable workmanship

For example, the housing is made of high-strength aluminum and is therefore robust and resistant to external influences, while the LED panel on the side of the device means you can always see which mode the charger is currently in.
