The Growatt MOD 6000TL3-HU hybrid inverter (MPN MOD 6000KTL3-HU) is a three-phase inverter designed for high performance and compactness, ensuring simple and user-friendly operation of large solar systems.
The inverter features a high efficiency of 98.3%, making it a powerful and flexible solution for system configuration. In addition to two independent MPPT inputs and a maximum PV power of 12,000 W, the inverter is equipped with an OLED touch display, providing clear advantages for easy and intuitive operation. Loads and batteries can also be connected, with the APX battery system being compatible.
With this inverter, no additional SYN backup box is required for off-grid operation.

Hybrid Inverter
Unlike conventional inverters, hybrid inverters can not only feed the generated solar energy into the grid but also store it in batteries. This allows solar energy to be available even when the sun is not shining. Another key feature is the ability to optimize household energy consumption by prioritizing direct usage of solar power before exporting it to the grid.
Active Safety with AFCI Function
An Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) is a protective device designed to safeguard electrical circuits against arc faults. In low-voltage installations, it acts as a protective switch against contact faults. It continuously analyzes current and voltage patterns using digital signal processing and disconnects circuits when fault signatures are detected.
Commonly referred to as a “fire protection switch,” the AFCI helps prevent overheating at poor contact points or electrical arcing between conductors, thereby reducing fire risks.
Two MPP Trackers for Optimal Solar Yield
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology ensures the highest possible energy yield from a solar system. It continuously determines the optimal relationship between irradiation, module temperature, and solar cell type throughout the day.
With two MPPT trackers in the MOD inverter, the optimal operating point for multiple PV strings can be optimized independently. This means that shading on one string does not affect the performance of the other.
Operating Modes – Configurable Depending on System Requirements
- Operating Mode: The MOD-HU converts DC power from PV strings into AC power and feeds it into the grid. If the output no longer meets grid requirements, normal operation is stopped.
- Fault Mode: The inverter monitors system status in real time. In case of faults, error information is displayed and the inverter disconnects from the grid.
- Shutdown Mode: The inverter automatically shuts down when solar irradiation is insufficient.
AC & DC Type II SPD
AC and DC Type II surge protection devices (SPDs) protect grid-connected inverters from overvoltage and are essential for system safety and reliability. AC SPDs protect the alternating current side, while DC SPDs protect the direct current side. They safely discharge excess voltage caused by lightning strikes, grid switching, or other events.
