The Growatt MOD 3000TL3-HU Hybrid Inverter (MPN MOD 3000KTL3-HU) is a three-phase inverter designed for easy and user-friendly operation of large-scale solar installations thanks to its high performance and compact design. The inverter features a high efficiency of 98.6%, making it a powerful and flexible device for system configuration. In addition to 2 independent MPPT inputs and a maximum PV power of 6000W, the inverter is equipped with an OLED touch display, which provides a major advantage for simple and intuitive operation. Furthermore, loads and batteries can be connected. It is compatible with the APX battery system.
With this inverter, no additional SYN Backup Box is required for off-grid operation.

Active Safety with AFCI Function
An Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) is an arc fault protection device. It protects electrical circuits against arc faults and acts as a protective switch against contact faults in low-voltage installations. In addition to protection, it analyzes current and voltage waveforms using digital signal processing and disconnects circuits when fault signatures are detected. The AFCI is also commonly referred to as a fire protection switch, as it can prevent overheating at poor contact points or arc events between conductors, thereby reducing fire risks.
Three MPP Trackers for Optimal Solar Yield
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology ensures the highest possible energy yield from a PV system. The MPPT continuously determines the optimal balance between irradiance, module temperature, and solar cell characteristics throughout the day. With the inverter’s two MPPT trackers, the optimal operating point can be independently optimized for different PV strings. Since the trackers operate independently, shading on one string does not affect the other.
Operating Modes – Configurable depending on system requirements
Operating Mode: The MOD-HU converts DC power from the PV strings into AC power and feeds it into the grid. If the output power does not meet grid-connected requirements, the inverter switches off normal operation.
Fault Mode: The inverter monitors and regulates system status in real time. If system or inverter faults occur, the display shows error information and disconnects the inverter output from the grid.
Shutdown Mode: In low or no solar irradiation conditions, the inverter shuts down automatically.
AC & DC Type II SPD
AC and DC Type II surge protection devices (SPDs) protect grid-tied inverters from overvoltage and are essential for the safety and reliability of PV systems. AC SPDs protect the AC side, while DC SPDs protect the DC side of the inverter. These devices divert excessive voltage surges caused by lightning strikes, grid switching operations, or similar events.
